Water is something really important that we all humans being need in order to survive. I think that water is something we should all have, but in many countries in Africa a lot of people don’t have access to clean clear water. Not having clean clear water to drink is a huge problem because, water is necessary in a daily basis. Also without it you can’t live long. You can’t live long because if you don’t drink clean clear water you could get diseases, such as; parasites in your stomach. Children in Africa that have parasites in their stomach, their belly looks fat but it’s not because of the food they eat, but because of the 3 feet worm they have inside and that happens when you drink dirty water that looks like is clean but is not because, it has many bacteria in it that causes parasites in your stomach when you drink it.
However there’s always a solution for every problem. Which means we could help stop the lack of clean water problem in many countries. !How? Well by raising money, doing fundraisers, selling candy, chocolates, etc. or simply by asking people for as little as 10 cents in the streets or, our own family members. Even though for us 10 cents is nothing for many people that are suffering of, lack of clean water every day, is a lot because little by little you could get a lot of money raised to help. With all the money that its being either raised or donated is use for a very good cause. Also another way to help is by taking care and not wasting the clean water that we now have, because water is really important and we only have about 3% of water to use because, 97% of the water that we can’t use nor drink is salty water.
Now that I know the difference clean water could make in someone’s daily life, I feel really lucky to have access to clean clear water every day. I feel lucky not just because, I have clean accessible water but because, I had never suffered of lack of clean water in my entire life. And even though here in California we are having some water problems we are still able to have access to clean water every time we shower, wash our hands, face or teeth every day. I think we all in our neighborhood should take care of the water we have, because once is wasted is never coming back. Also because, we need it in a daily basis.
In my fundraising experience I did got really good questions. They asked me where is this money going to go? Well I told them that the money was going to go to the thirst project. Then they asked me what was the thirst project, I told them that the thirst project was made by a college student that lived in a country in Africa, were they didn't have access to clean water. So that student decided to something to help his country, have access to clean water and stop the dead of thousands of people because of the lack of the clean water .I felt really good asking people for money because, it was for a very good cause. And I feel really good, knowing that that dollar or two that had raised was going to help make a difference and help thousands of people.
